The Beginning
We take great pride in reviving donated vintage textiles, including our selection of biodegradable cotton and other sustainable textiles that we acquire. Our selection process focuses on items that are new or in like-new condition, ensuring each textile is perfect for its next use. Our process starts with inspecting them for flaws, then we wash and sanitize them to guarantee they’re fresh and clean. Afterward, they're ironed and inspected for any defects, making sure each textile, including our upcycled garment covers, is ready for its next step.
Next steps
A template is created, and the fabric is laid out for cutting and preparing for sewing. Our designer then identifies the best print and color combinations, as well as the most suitable style for the upcycled garment covers. It is then lovingly hand-sewn with 100% biodegradable cotton thread, binding, and recyclable fasteners, which contribute to a sustainable textiles approach.
